Wednesday July 10th Milan – Venice

Meeting point at Milan Train station where you’ll find your tour escort High speed train from Milan to Venice. Transfer and accommodation at the hotel. Meet your local guide and Venice walking tour: Doge’s Palace, Bell Tower, Clock Tower, Marco Polo’s House, Basilica San Marco and its wonderful and characteristic square. Return to hotel and overnight.

Thursday July 11th Venice & Murano and Burano Islands

Breakfast at the hotel. Short walk to get to the pier to embark on a shared motor boat. Excursion to Murano and Burano, the most famous and traditional tourist destinations among the small islands in the Lagoon. In Murano, known throughout the world for its glassmaking Art, you will visit a Furnace to see glass products being made and have the opportunity to buy a piece of the local production on site. The tour will then continue towards Burano the island famous for its lace-making and for the brightly-coloured fishermens’ houses, painted in this way in order to let
the fishermen see them from long distance, according to a legend. Lunch in a restaurant. Return to hotel and overnight.

Friday July 12th Venice to Florence

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Venice train station and then high train to Florence. Transfer to the hotel by motorcoach to drop the luggage. Free time for lunch (not included). Walking city tour of the capital of the Italian Renaissance. You will discover the important role that Florence had in the history of architecture and art: Brunelleschi’s dome, the Baptistery, the Uffizi Gallery courtyard, the Piazza della Signoria with the Church of Orsanmichele and Ponte Vecchio. Return to the hotel. Dinner in a restaurant with fiorentina steak.

Saturday July 13th Florence & San Gimignano, Siena and Chianti

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure by coach for a tour of the beautiful region of Tuscany, with San Gimignano, in the Chianti region, and the medieval town of Siena, the main tourist destinations for those who want to live an unforgettable experience full of emotions. San Gimignano, a magnificent example of a Medieval town, included in the UNESCO a World Heritage Site list and famous all around the world for its picturesque towers, will be the first stop of this tour. You will have free time to visit every corner of the town, with its lovely squares, buildings and churches. You will then visit the beautiful area of Classic Chianti and stop at a winery to taste local wines. Free time for lunch (not included). In the afternoon the tour will continue in Siena where you will learn more about the architectural styles of the Cathedral and the Municipal Building of Piazza del Campo where the famous Palio race takes place. Then back to the hotel in Florence.

Sunday July 14th Florence & Cinque Terre

Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a day dedicated to the discovery of one of the most beautiful and picturesque landscapes in the world. You will take a tour, by train or boat, of the Cinque Terre National Park area, included the UNESCO World Heritage Site list, where the sea and the land blend together to create a unique and evocative landscape. Eighteen kilometres of rocky coast characterised by bays, beaches and deep water, and hiking trails with spectacular views. Free time for lunch during the excursion (not included). Then back to the hotel in Florence.

Cinque-Terre

Monday July 15th Florence to Rome

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the train station and High Speed train to Rome. Upon arrival transfer by motorcoach to the hotel

Tuesday July 16th Rome & Vatican Museums and food tour

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to the Vatican Museums and its famous Sistine Chapel with its magnificent fresco of the Last Judgement by Michelangelo. At the end of the tour visit of the St.Peter’s Basilica. Free time for lunch (not included). In the afternoon pleasant stroll through the historical centre that will let you discover and explore the alleys of the ancient city of Rome with a chance to sample its excellent food. Return to hotel and overnight.

 

Wednesday July 17th Classical Rome and Imperial Rome (with Colosseum)

Breakfast at the hotel. Walking tour through the historical centre, passing through the Trevi Fountain, the Column of Marco Aurelio, the Palazzo di Montecitorio designed by Bernini, Piazza Navona and Spanish Steps. Free time for lunch (not included). In the afternoon walking tour of Imperial Rome area, passing through Piazza Venezia, Piazza Del Campidoglio designed by Michelangelo, the Roman Forum and inside visit of the Colosseum. Return to hotel. Typical dinner in a restaurant.

Thursday July 18th Rome

a) Transfer by private van to Rome Airport (if your flight leaves from Rome)
b) Train ticket for morning high speed train to Milan
